Wal-Mart has been known for their morning cheer while other companies like Home Depot have provided an employee stock ownership plan. In addition, managers need to come up with a strategic plan for accomplishing their goals. They must be role models for employees and hire the best employees for the organization. Based on the readings, discuss the best practices and strategies used by retail managers. Make sure to discuss topics previously mentioned such as motivating employees, strategic planning, providing world- class service, leadership, and employee recruitment.
