In one mammalian cell it is estimated that 10,000 to 20,000 different types of mRNA can be found "Abundant" mRNAs exist in many copies per cell (~12,000 copies/cells), "scarce" mRNAs (5copies/cell) are also detected. At any one instant, a snapshoot of mRNA content would reveal a total of 360,000 mRNA molecules (total copies / cell). the cell usually has about 10 times more ribosomes (rRNA) than mRNA. Assume only 75% of all the ribosomes are being used for protein synthesis at any one time;a) what is the maximum number of proteins that could be synthesis and any one instant?;b) How many "scare" proteins (assume 5 copies mRNA/cell) could be synthesized at this time..?;c)How many "abundant" proteins (assume 12,000 copies mRNA /cell) could be synthesized at this time?;d) What is the ratio of abundant to scare protein translation?
