CJA 255 Criminal Court Systems (APA Format with References)

Criminal Court Systems;Criminal Court Systems; The criminal courts of the United States form an intricate system built of many different officials with specific responsibilities, procedures and processes that must be followed, and all with the goal of serving justice fairly and maintaining the rights of citizens. The criminal court system has many responsibilities, including determining which cases to pursue and how to handle those not fully pursued, providing fair punishments that appropriately fit the crimes, and deciding which sentencing method would reduce the occurrence of repeat offenders and protect the public. Americans want to see the appropriate action taken, and frequently have different opinions on how things should be handled, but overall the justice system fills the need to make regulations that fit a broad spectrum of individuals, while taking into consideration the specifics of each case when making decisions.
